You can live your dream life in 5 years - My plan

Hey good people !

I hope you had such an amazing week . How’re you really ? Are you okay ? At the point of reading this , I hope our first YouTube video on our new niche , Finance would have come out . If it has not , then it surely will be a day or so away . Anyhow ,the pride I feel in this new niche is like that pride women have talking about their husbands all the time to the rest of us . They say , “my husband this” , “my husband that” like literally all their sentences are filled with “my husband” .. Don’t mind me am just looking for their trouble . But you get the gist , right ?

It feels nice saying “Finance YouTuber” to myself every now & then . I guess it’s really how I plan to do this journey with everyone . There was a post on Twitter during the week that asked wether it’s a good idea for you to tell people about your plans. Whereas most people, especially those of us in Africa said it’s not good & their reason was that bad people don’t wish you to win so somehow their bad wishes turn off your win . Personally I find that belief simply superstitious. My belief is actually the opposite, that if I’ve 5 friends and I tell them what I want to achieve , they act as my accountability partners . Because if I tell you that am going to upload a video in the next few days , in my mind I don’t want to let you down but secondly am thinking you’ll ask me why I’ve not yet uploaded it like I said I would . I see the world’s richest man , Elon Musk employ my same belief as well . I also think that when you’re working on things whose success depends on people consuming them, then it’s wiser to tell them so they’re expectant . Big brands do this as well , take Apple for example , we already have an idea what features the iPhone 15 will have , we know when the apple vision pro headset will be on the market etc .It keeps the intended consumers; the people expectant. Imagine if you just woke up in the morning and launched the iPhone 15 out of nowhere ? How would that hurt your first day sales ? Negatively , right ?

So where am I going with this gist ?

Firstly , when I was asking myself what exact value I want to give the viewer of my channel , I told myself that I want to create more money in people’s pockets . Not that I’ll walk to you and give you money , not that I’ll change the polices in your country to favor you coz boy am not a politician 🤦🏽‍♂️, am a YouTuber 😍😍. What I meant is that am going to be looking out for those less talked about ways of making money , the legit ways . If it means staying up combing and learning everything I can, I will .If it means taking a course, I will , If it means traveling to countries to talk to people who have the knowledge, I will . Now I hope you’re not hailing me for being nice 😂😂.. That’s my kind of content moving forward and as you know , content in itself pays 🤓🤓. So I’ll be killing two birds with one stone 😎.

Now to the second part of this gist and this is where the interesting bit is ;

I have a friend in Rwanda called Sebagabo Jean De Dieu ( Facebook profile link :- https://www.facebook.com/jeandedieu.sebagabo?mibextid=LQQJ4d) who always emphasized the importance of planning ahead . In his ever playful & short Tedtalks to me about planning , he’d mention the acronym; the 5Ps . These loosely translate to ; Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance. So when I finally thought that’ll perform better at Finance content while giving the best value to anyone who’ll be viewing my videos , I asked myself what would be let’s say my 6 months content plan ? 1yr ? 2yrs etc . Because YouTube is a continuous thing , it’s not a one off like ebooks . You’ve to upload content every often. The answer to that question was simply in the goal of the channel; to move someone out there from $0 per month to financial freedom . I know this just sounds like some high level motivational stuff but hear me out . When you have a goal , the plan has to follow , right ? Atleast what one motivational speaker said that if you help people to get what they want , you get what you want . When a doctor is looking for money , he has to treat patients, right ? A teacher has to teach students , a restaurant proprietor has to sell good meals to people , right ? I could go on and on but if you read my best book ever ; How to win friends & influence people ( link :-https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004FQ18H4/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_2RKX1W1M3B37JVJGTKB8?linkCode=ml2&tag=denisdahub-20) , Dale says if you approach people from a position of their want , you get what you want. Let me give you a funny example, in Africa when you plan to get a loan from someone , you first inquire how the person’s children are ,compliment his dogs , start up some nicer conversations that are personal to that person before you ask them for a loan 😅😅 . That trick most times works like magic 👌

So if I tell you the plan, will you be even more convinced ? These are the topics I’ll be largely working on which I believe will give us that financial freedom . Step by step .

1. Start from Affiliate marketing .

2. Re - invest in my 3 YouTube channels . By the way 2 of them are faceless

3. Jump onto one of the most powerful thing I’ve known recently ; e-commerce . In particular Amazon FBA . Can you sell on Amazon from Africa ? Absolutely YES

4. At this point we’ll have some small small money ready to jump onto smaller passive income ideas like stocks e.g the S&P 500 , Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) like Cytton in Nairobi , Kenya etc .

5. We can now jump on real estate . Buying buildings and putting them up on Airbnb etc while scaling on the upper 4 .

With that my friends ,we shall be able to have six months vacations , twice a year 😎😎. As you know , I plan to be practicing every idea & documenting everything so you can copy & paste what works , That said, those are largely what I’ll be covering on your favorite YouTube channel. Obviously, there will be some more chip ins but you know the grand goal , right ? If you don’t at this point , you’ve not read this issue 😅😅.
