What I learn building a $500 digital product || 10 best digital product ideas
Hi good people!
How are you doing today? How has your week been? We’re getting into the weekend so could be a good time for us to have our fun newsletter in our inbox, isn’t it?
Anyhow, in last week’s issue I gave the behind the scenes of how my digital product came to be and I hope the pointers bore fruit. Today, I’ll wrap up last week’s issue and at the end, give you some 10 best digital product ideas that’re making people full time incomes so you want to read on till the end. Just to give you some recap, in last week’s issue I poured out myself about how digital products can make unbelievable incomes and gave an example of my mentors who’re making a tonne of money with digital products. Just to give you a wow moment and set our conversation rolling, my mentors (who’re YouTubers too) make atleast over a million dollars per year from their YouTube business. What’s fascinating though is that they make almost if not more than half of that income from sales of their digital product.
Interesting, isn’t it? So how can you create your digital products and put them on sale too? Yo right, start by thinking who you’re creating the digital product for. I have over emphasized this because it’s the most important piece of the puzzle. The quickest way you can nail this is, fill in for X, Y and Z in this sentence: - I help X do Y by Z. This short but powerful sentence means as a digital product creator, start with the end in mind and then work backwards. If for instance your goal is to help overweight people (I hope this is not an insensitive way of saying it. But you get the gist?) to lose excessive weight by following a healthy meal plan, it means that your end goal is some one who has lost weight. So everything you’re going to think of on that meal plan should be 100% helping them achieve that. Devoid of that, you’re not serving your intended market.
The most profitable digital product ideas are generally born from the following;
1. A problem you solved. If your kids had an issue having their meals on time and somehow you worked out a way and they started to, that could be a digital product to the next mother out there to guide them.
2. An obstacle you overcame. If you were at $0 per month and worked your way to $1000 per month, that could be a good digital product for someone else out there.
3. A skill you mastered. If you mastered how to edit videos, code, design, public speaking etc, that could be a good digital product.
4. Your expertise or experience. I can give myself as an example here. Am sharing my behind the scenes of developing a $500 digital product.
5. You can move someone from A to B. If you can design a meal plan that will help overweight people to regain shape, that could be a good digital product.
That out of the way, if you ever wish to create your own digital product, don’t stress like I did figuring it out by myself. Just get back to this newsletter and point at any of these below and start designing immediately. They are;
1. Courses: - These are recorded in video format and are majorly informational teaching about something. They can be delivered in modules or episodes.
2. eBooks: - These could simply be the typed out version of 1 above. Or just any informational piece. eBooks are also informational just like courses are. You can also develop an eBook from a physical book.
3. Audio books: - these are audio versions of 1 and 2. You can obviously also develop an audio book from a physical book.
4. Planners: - These generally help someone to plan their time, schedules, set goals could be fitness, financial, etc.
5. Printable stickers: - These are stickers you design and the buyer can print them and put them on their walls, gadgets etc.
6. Printable wall Art: - You design a wall art and sell it. On the other end, someone will print it and hang it on their walls or wherever they deem great.
7. Checklists: - These help someone to make sure they are doing things right and not forgetting anything. e.g you can design a checklist for expecting moms so they can keep up on when to go for antenatal care, visit the doctor, get ready to shop for their incoming babies etc.
8. Phone and computer wallpaper: - These are sold in combos of designs.
9. Recipe books: - these are self explanatory, right?
10. Guides: - These help someone to take them from point A to B. e.g a Travel guide that’ll help people in climbing Mountain Rwenzori.
Obviously, the first 3 ideas make the most money although they require even more depth, funding, planning and better delivering. But they make the most income. It’s easy to develop a $1000 course and sell 1000 units per year. The other ideas nonetheless require lesser for you to have them up for sale so they’re great options to start with.
Reply to this email and let me know which digital product idea you’ll quickly delve into.

With that said, thanks for reading on, my regards to you and to yours. Until next week.
With Love!
