Hi good people !

I hope you had an amazing week . During the week , I read from a newsletter by Ali Abdaal , one of my virtual mentors . I was hesitant to open it and read because i was lazy to read (more like we’re always lazy to read long posts on social media) but then I remembered that loose saying that if you want to hide anything valuable from an African , put it in writing . So I did the opposite, I opened the newsletter and read on and on . At the end I was happy I did because I got so much value . So question; how often do you open to read posts , emails ? Do you skip them in the pretext that they’re long like I used to ? ( not to mean am perfect though 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️) . To give you context , Ali Abdaal made about $5M from his online business last year and that’s really what we talk about in this newsletter; how to grow a worthy & legal online side hustle or businesses per se .

Anyhow in the long read from that newsletter, I got so many provoking thoughts . The one particular one I like to share is a certain quote he referred to by Alex Harmozi which said ; “The reason you’re not making $10m a year is that you don’t know HOW to make $10m a year. Therefore, that lack of knowledge is costing you $10m a year”. (Find Ali’s newsletter here:- https://sparklp.co/9d3f6064/) .This quote made too much sense but in an annoying way at the same time because earlier in the week , I posted on my WhatsApp status and jokingly said I was pissed at people who didn’t tell me how magical owning newsletters is. In my defense; I could’ve bought my dream home years ago from Newsletter incomes if I was told about newsletters 5 or 10 years ago . When I read that quote from Alex , I remembered the quote I usually say to myself & sometimes share on my what’s app status ; “YOU CAN’T KNOW WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW” . That quote intrigued me to realize that am not making the money Ali Abdaal is making simply because I didn’t know what he knew back then . Does that make sense ? What I’ve notice , I guess you’ve noticed it too is that most of these online careers , wether it’s being a YouTuber , Newsletter owner , ebook author , Fulfillment By Amazon re seller , Dropshipper with Shopify etc don’t require a certain skill set or age . There’s several 20 year olds as well as 50 year olds who’re doing great . There’s 1000’s of graduates & 1000’s of non graduates as well making considerable careers on the internet .
